February 2021 Center of Hope

How About Some Good News ?

We are all well aware of how last year provided more bad news than any of us probably care to remember, which is why we know you will want to hear this exceptionally good news today!

It was one year ago in February when the new Center of Hope in Knox County, Ohio, was announced. Stemming from an early dream in 2006 when the vision for COH was only on paper, it
was our desire, once established in Central Ohio, to extend beyond that to increase our efforts to serve some of the poorest counties in Ohio.

Over the last year that dream has become a blazing reality and now it is our pleasure to share some of the incredible highlights we know will put a smile on your face and gratitude in your
heart:
Groceries given for over 65,595 meals, feeding 8.000 people
15,000 + pounds of local fresh food donated and distributed
More than 3,000 care team connections with people served
Support from 9 churches and Greater Ohio District of the Wesleyan Church
The vision of COH Knox County is big and will continue to grow by adding a new community center in Bladensburg, Ohio. Building a solid foundation is key to responding to the immediate needs of this neighboring county and beyond.

Together, let’s celebrate what the Lord has done in establishing this new chapter, as well as all of the lives that found a lasting hope through the hard work of COH in Knox County.

Dear Pastor Dan and Church Family !

We want to give thanks and appreciation to you the partners of Mission Colombia. You guys are a tremendous blessing and we believe with you for an abundant harvest on your giving. We desire that 2021 will be a year full of good fruit and health for you and yours. We believe from observing the signs of the times that the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ is very close.

There are signs of His coming in the political realm, social areas, economic structure, natural disasters, Israel, and the church. We just want to encourage you all in that the Bible says “And lets us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. (Hebrews 10:24-25 NKJV)

As we see the day of the Lord’s coming approaching we are told to be careful to keep assembling and serving in the church, staying in the Word and prayer, to be stirred up to do good works and service (mainly to your local church). And the Bible encourages us to stay in love for the Lord and love our neighbor as ourselves and have a love for the people of the world to get the good news of the Gospel to as many souls as we can before the coming of the Lord.

Pastor Dan thank you, for being partners in helping bring in the last harvest of souls.

Yours for the Harvest,

John and Alba

Vision for Israel Update
July 2020
OUR POWERFUL
STRONGHOLD
“The Lord is a stronghold in the day of trouble and He knows those who trust in Him” - Nahum 1:7

Dear Friends,
As our world reels from the effects of the pandemic, many families in Israel are falling under the poverty line. The industries that normally provide employment for hundreds of thousands of low-wage workers remain shut down, or severely restricted. To compound this issue unemployment benefits which have been a lifeline for many, are drawing to a close as well. Those who work in Israel’s massive tourism and entertainment industries have been unable to work for months and are now faced with difficult decisions ahead, whether to pay for food, rent, medicine, or other essentials of life – when “all of them” is no longer an option.

Over 1.12 million people - 27.5% of the workforce - have submitted applications for unemployment benefits. We have been assisting hundreds of families who have found themselves in poverty because they lost their income and have no way to cover their financial commitments. We at Vision for Israel
are privileged to see the amazing impact of your generosity every day in the faces of the people of Israel. Whether it is aid for groceries, rent, medical supplies, or one of the countless other
blessings – your contributions are what keep us going, and we are thankful.

May the Lord Bless you and keep you
In His service,
Barry and Batya Segal

Mercy Multiplied

From Adia

Before Mercy, my life was a black void of drinking and taking over 23 sleeping pills at night. I was depressed, hopeless, and sinking fast.

I found out about Mercy through an online chat with a graduate. I decided to apply because I knew my life would be very short, and the end would be a dark one if I didn’t seek out help.

When I arrived at Mercy, I was numb and fearful. A turning point for me was when Bayside Worship came, and Zoro spoke to us about childlike faith and holding onto that little girl inside of us even if we have to revive her by spiritual CPR. This discussion touched me, and I began to allow Jesus to revive the lost child within me.

While at Mercy, Jesus picked up my broken, shattered life and set my feet firm on the ground. I live in His lighthouse, where I am loved, challenged, protected, and adored!

After Mercy, I plan to begin my journey as a social worker for children with developmental delays.

To the donors, I am so grateful for you sowing into my future by partnering with Mercy Multiplied! You don’t know me. I was a face in a crowd – a broken girl who fell through the cracks. Because of you, I am here today with the love of God in my heart and a healthy mind, body, and soul.
Thank you ever so much from the deepest part of my spirit
! - Adia

Isa Bajalia

Missions

August, 2019

Greetings from Isa:

Thank you for contributing towards the next missions outreach in the Persian Gulf, and the Philippines. Our prayer is that you are abundantly blessed for helping to expand the Kingdom of God Globally.

Persian Gulf; We are excited about continued confirmed reports that large segments of the communities in this part of the World are receiving Jesus as their Savior. It is also an honor for me to be a part of the Ministry Team who will be in conferences in several Nations where it is well known that there is hostility towards the Gospel Message and Missionaries.

Southeast Asia; After a brief time in the Persian Gulf, Nancy and I will then travel to the Philippines where we will stay until we complete our assignment. Thank you for all of the clothing items and the vitamins that you so graciously provided for distribution among the families at the three outreach sites. Our goal is to be a support to the local Church, especially in the more primitive areas of Mindanao. We thank you because we are aware that none of this could ever happen without your help.

Encouragement - Such an amazing truth from God's Word. Galatians 5; 6 NLT, When we place our Faith in Christ Jesus there is no benefit in being circumcised or being uncircumcised, what is important is Faith expressing itself in Love. We have always been taught that our Faith can only work if we walk in love towards others. While I believe that this is true, we forget that it is not only how we love, but also how much HE loves us. It always takes my Faith to another level when I realize how much He loves me.

Thank you for praying for me as I run my race in missions. I still have my eyes on the prize!

Your brother, Isa
